Huling Farmhouse is an ode to the rustic Chinese farmhouse: Dried chili peppers, ancient wood, and the occurrence of red in the daily culture of China. Our food, our decorations, our wishes.
Huling Farmhouse is a warm deep mid-tone chili red; it leans orange, but is very wearable.
My family originates from this little-known locality within Jiangxi; it translates to “Tiger Ridge,” and is certainly aptly named: Long ago, tigers populated that mountainous region. My grandfather forever remembers the scream of the pigs from their pen late one night when a tiger crept in and stole one of their own. That was 1910. Today, they have been hunted to extinction in that region, though China hopes to reintroduce them to the Jiangxi province.

Named after a particularly ethereal family member, this base glows from within and carries a delicate halo. Excellent when held double with a heavier weight yarn for an extra special project.
*Please note, this is hand-dyed yarn. Colors are truly unique to each skein and therefore may vary from skein to skein. We recommend alternating skeins every other row in the round, or every two rows when knitting flat if using two or more skeins. True colors may vary slightly from screen. We do try.*
